In collaboration with clinical societies and practice groups, we are seeking to improve the quality, safety and appropriate utilization of imaging services.

The Radiology program features two elements:

  • Imaging Accreditation
  • Radiology Notification/Prior Authorization is required for the following defined set of outpatient imaging procedures: CT scans, MRIs, MRAs, PET scans and Nuclear Medicine studies, including Nuclear Cardiology. Radiology Notification/Prior Authorization is not required for procedures rendered in an emergency room, observation unit, urgent care center or during an inpatient stay.
