Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) Claims - 800-842-1109
UnitedHealthcare connects with multiple clearinghouses to allow health care professionals to submit claims electronically via their practice management software. To answer questions regarding your EDI options for electronic claims submission, obtain a list of clearinghouses that submit directly to UnitedHealthcare, or assistance in establishing an EDI connection, call (800) 842-1109.  Visit our EDI Education for Electronic Transactions site for valuable information regarding EDI. Mental Health, Substance Abuse, Vision and Transplant Services
To inquire about a patient's behavioral health, vision or transplant benefits, please reference the patient's medical ID card for carrier information and contact numbers.

Practice-Facility Updates - 877-842-3210
Maintaining your contact and billing information is critical to receive important updates regarding procedure and policy changes, useful administrative information and timely delivery of your claims payments. You can update or submit your Practice-Facility information online, by fax or telephone. For Tax ID updates, submit using the fax form and include a W-9.

UnitedHealth Premium physician designation program has Resource Center Representatives available to assist physicians and group administrators with questions regarding their designation, the methodology used to determine quality and cost efficiency, the reconsideration process, individual and group assessment reports, and other questions about the program. UnitedHealthcare also has information regarding the program available on the provider website, UnitedHealthcareOnline.com, and on the consumer website, myuhc.com.
